HDR Editing
As you view the images counterclockwise from the upper left to the lower right, you can visually follow the HDR process. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and means we shoot identical compositions with different exposures.
In this instance, the camera was set at ISO 400 F-11 for all 3 images. In the 1st shot, I opened the iris +2 stops, in the second, I closed the iris by 1 stop so it was positioned at +1 then the final shot was closed down 3 stops to -2. Those 3 images were then ‘layered’ in the editing process; extracting correctly exposed portions of each shot and combined to create the perfect image (bottom right)
